State Business Reforms Action Plan

SBRAP stands for State Business Reform Action Plan. It's an initiative by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Government of India.
The aim of SBRAP is to create a more business-friendly environment in India by streamlining regulations and reducing red tape. This is done by encouraging states and union territories (UTs) to implement reforms in a number of areas, such as:
•    Simplifying the process of starting a business
•    Obtaining licenses and permits
•    Registering property
•    Paying taxes
•    Enforcing contracts
•    Resolving insolvency
SBRAP is a key part of the government's Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) initiative, which aims to improve India's ranking in the World Bank's Doing Business report.
Here are some of the benefits of SBRAP:
•    Makes it easier for businesses to start and operate in India
•    Reduces the cost of doing business
•    Creates a more level playing field for businesses
•    Attracts more investment to India
SBRAP is a continuous process, and new reforms are being added all the time. You can find more information about SBRAP on the website of the DPIIT https://www.dpiit.gov.in/.
